Philip has been tutoring students in their homes in public libraries, especially for the SAT and ACT verbal sections, as well as the SAT History subject tests.
Max, an 11th grader from Roslyn who had gotten a 2030 on his SATs, went up to a 2310 out of 2400 with just five lessons from Philip.
Louis, a 12th grader in Manhasset, started with a 580 on his SATs. With just two months of tutoring, his score went up by 15%, qualifying him for his reach schools and allowing him to get into NYU early decision.
Joshua, a 12th grader at the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County, reported that his SAT score went up by 200 points.
Douglas, a middle schooler, was accepted at both Phillips Andover and Phillips Exeter, two of the moste elite private schools in the United States.
After Philip became educational director at a storefront tutoring center, new client numbers increased by 100%, This storefront is where Philip and Juan worked together, Philip as director and Juan as a senior math tutor. Many clients went to Philip by presenting page after page of what he was best at creating – success stories. Philip was the most consistent creator of success in English and History classes and exams as measured, appropriately, by improved scores and work production quality.
Philip is so confident that your scores will go up that he offers an additional guarantee beyond what is offered by our organization. If after an SAT or other diagnostic test, your student’s score does not go up by 20% with 15 paid hours of tutoring, classes are absolutely free until your student reaches that goal.
Since 2006, Philip has worked as an English and History test prep teacher at LaGuardia. He created a five-week curriculum for a pair of five-week English Regents prep courses geared for high schoolers. He received high praise from both department head Alexis Frazier and particular praise from parents. A selection of his testimonials can be found on his testimonials page.
Philip has had a long career in education. Along with working as a tutor for decades, he has worked as a Jewish History teacher at Temple Emanu-El, an English teacher at Mirrer Yeshiva High School, and as an advertising and account executive at the New York Observer.
We are delighted to have Philip working with us.
